About Us

The Traylor Team is a husband and wife real estate team, consisting of Hart and Vanessa Traylor! We have a combined 20+ years of real estate experience here in the Columbia and surrounding Midlands market!

PROFESSIONAL

Hart has been a licensed agent since 2010, and Vanessa since 2015. Our licenses have been at Paul Properties since 2022.

In 2009 Hart helped his friend, Charlie, start The Mather Company. Though they started in the midst of a recession, The Mather Co. saw much growth and success over the following years. During that time Hart served as Vice-President until 2015. While there, he worked with buyers and sellers, managed house flip and home renovation projects for both investors and homeowners, and also oversaw daily office life, including leading real estate training and helping the 20 other agents who hung their licenses at The Mather Co. During this time Hart also served as President over their property management department.

In 2015 Vanessa Vanessa got her license in order to work alongside Hart, and The Traylor Team was officially formed! And in 2022 we started our short-term rental property management services.

We love working together and believe that our strengths complement each other very well, making us a great team!

PERSONAL

We’re both natives of the Midlands (Hart grew up in Forest Acres and Vanessa in Gilbert). We met at USC (go Gamecocks!) in 2005 and got married in 2008.

We have 3 wonderful sons, and love building memories together as a family, including annual trips to Pine Cove Chimney Point family camp, and beach trips to the Carolina coast! We are also active members at our church. In our spare time, Hart enjoys playing music and keeping up with Gamecocks football, basketball, and baseball, as well as the Minnesota Vikings. Vanessa enjoys design and DIY projects.

Our middle son had two forms of cancer when he was 2 years old and underwent a bone marrow transplant in 2016. By God's grace, he is doing well! Because of this journey we walked, we are committed to donating a percentage of our total commissions each year towards groups to help with research, treatment, and care.
